SPONSORSHIP MANAGEMENT

TWEP is currently the implementing partner for the i.HUG Foundation sponsorship program. This program selects vulnerable children (using a tool based on the OVC index) from the Kampala and Wakiso districts and matches them with sponsors through the i.HUG Foundation. TWEP works to ensure the children selected are placed in appropriate schools that match their academic and social development needs, makes regular progress checks, and provides ongoing support and guidance to the children and their families to ensure the children are able to make the best of their opportunity.

This programme is highly successful, in 2018 70% of P7 children achieved a Division 1 in the PLE, with all P7 students achieving a Division 3 or above.
